For a rather chilled week, I've managed to find myself on an adventure throughout the most odd places with the most odd people - that being my close mates Kit Thompson and Roy Requejo. From random trips to Pampanga and Laguna, this week has been nothing but "spontaneous" with the boys. But for those who follow my blog on a daily basis, would already know thats my persona, hence why I'm spontaneously back on the rooftops doing my thing. Actually for me, seeing myself back on the rooftop again means I'm back in business.

Little did I know upon arriving back to Manila it was already Holy Week. Ahh yes, the one and only week where you would actually find the majority of Manila deserted, as everyones already embarking on their summer festivities. The first day back was also the very same for me, having booked my trip to Sipalay beach with the family led by main man and cousin, Jing Monis of Jing Monis Salon. With Jing in charge and leading the way, it was no surprise that it was going to turn out to be one of the best Holy Week vacations I've experienced so far. Here are some of the photos taken last Saturday night with my cousin and his friends.
The almighty Ces Cho  from South Korea. Now  this guy is definitely a character of his own. Never have I met anyone with a persona like his and finding the right way to describe him is a mystery of its own. If we all tallied the amount of alcohol we  consumed that night, it would  no doubt be Ces ranking in as number one. With this guy being thirty somethin', by the end of the  night, he was the one barfing and  crawling his way back to bed! Haha what an animal... And believe it or not, this guy has a native tongue for tagalog.

As exciting as it is to slowly start blogging again, nothing could be more inspiring to post than my weekend vacation in Hong Kong. Originally my trip was only from Brisbane to Manila, but with a spontaneous decision at the last minute I booked a flight to Hong Kong to visit my long-time high school pal Khai Van Kampen. By far notably the best weekend ever!

It was a great experience to be able to see the majority of Hong Kong with Khai, as he'd already been living there for 6 months. With such little time (the weekend only), there was so much to be done. The majority of the days were spent stumbling around, exploring fresh and uncharted spots in Hong Kong. Amongst the hustle of the gritty Mong Kok, private rooftops were used as a form of getaway from the intense crowds, generating a euphoric feeling from the mid level perspective of Hong Kong's majestic high-rises and grungy feel.

Lust For Life

Since it has been a while since I have last posted, much has happened in the city of Manila. One thing about the Philippines that I'll never get over is its hunger for nightlife social connection. Every week there is at least one or two events. Either a new brand is debuting or a new restaurant that's just opened, the city of Manila is resting. Previously last week had been the opening for Australia's Cotton On clothing, opening in SM Megamall. Since I'm from Australia, this isn't my first time to get a glimpse of Australia's fashion sense. I did find a few items I liked such as the maroon button-down that I'm wearing and let me say, it's so much cheaper than back home in Australia! I chose Maroon because it's quite a newly introduced color which has certainly caught a lot of attention. But take in mind, it's a color that can only be worn with specific tones. With that being said, this was what I managed to put together.
