望角 RoofHop

As exciting as it is to slowly start blogging again, nothing could be more inspiring to post than my weekend vacation in Hong Kong. Originally my trip was only from Brisbane to Manila, but with a spontaneous decision at the last minute I booked a flight to Hong Kong to visit my long-time high school pal Khai Van Kampen. By far notably the best weekend ever!

It was a great experience to be able to see the majority of Hong Kong with Khai, as he'd already been living there for 6 months. With such little time (the weekend only), there was so much to be done. The majority of the days were spent stumbling around, exploring fresh and uncharted spots in Hong Kong. Amongst the hustle of the gritty Mong Kok, private rooftops were used as a form of getaway from the intense crowds, generating a euphoric feeling from the mid level perspective of Hong Kong's majestic high-rises and grungy feel.

Redwing Boots, a necessity for trekking the streets of Hong Kong.
