I think many of us have been waiting for this to finally happen. Two male fashion enthusiast/models here killin' it together in one shoot. It was great to catch up with Brent as he got me to model for his online clothing website (www.pormada.com) shooting 40 layouts in a span of 3 hours. It was really a perfect collaboration. I actually have a lot of respect working with Brent because he already has an idea with creative direction from his long-time modeling experiences. We were also able to bounce back and forth different ideas and concepts that made the shoot even more interesting.

Knowing Brent for quite some time now, he was happy and willing to give a lending hand when I asked him to be part of today's blog post. It wasn't really anything serious as you can see, but it was great it included him just so I can change it up a little... I'm honestly sick of looking at myself so it was great to be able to not focus on me for the first time.

For a rather chilled week, I've managed to find myself on an adventure throughout the most odd places with the most odd people - that being my close mates Kit Thompson and Roy Requejo. From random trips to Pampanga and Laguna, this week has been nothing but "spontaneous" with the boys. But for those who follow my blog on a daily basis, would already know thats my persona, hence why I'm spontaneously back on the rooftops doing my thing. Actually for me, seeing myself back on the rooftop again means I'm back in business.

Welcome To the Jungle

As of lately, I’ve found myself meeting lots of new people in Australia and adventuring places I'd usually skip. This has truly opened my mind to new and exciting activities in which my camera and friend Khai, is always there to document. After hanging with some friends and playing Xbox, Khai had planned to take me to some deserted car parks downtown for downhill skateboarding, and I must a note that a 9 level car park with an elevator taking us all the way to the top made it all worth it when we came back down.

The eerie feeling of a desolate car park can really place upon you, and open your chain of thoughts with a surreal feel. As I skated down the dim lit empty car park with the wind effortlessly waving all my attire and hair, the mood was instantly set. A combination of mismatched fluro lights with a scent of grit, made for amazing lighting that neither of us had really utilized in the past.

Unknown Whereabouts

Since arriving back to the Land Down Under, I've thankfully worked myself into a productive sleeping pattern, making the most use of my time when possible. I'm always happy to be back home in Brisbane, but at the same time I miss being in Manila where the city never sleeps. There's so many places to visit in Brisbane and when you have the time to explore, you'd be surprised what you can find.

Yesterday when Khai and I were passing through the central district, we found an abandon factory located near the top hill part of Margret St. It was insane to see this alleyway-esk hangout area by the rear of the factory which had been well exposed to graffiti artist and druggos to secretly hang out and mark their territory. What led us to hanging around there - I dont know, but we were curious to check out the building to see if we could access the rooftop for some scenic photography.

We tried to access a rooftop of an unknown building in Queen St, but shortly after I captured this photo, security staff had caught us and escorted us back down.

Haha definitely a Hogwarts feel, Broadway Mall is great to check out if you keen snoop around. I had no idea never bothered to check out the second level but it was surprising to see what kind of shops were located there. I didn't even know they had a cafe (closed at the time) there, that we were inclined to hang around to see if we could get served.

Soft Blue Matter

Taken outside the highly recognized entrance of Greenbelt 5, I managed to sneak in the time to get a few photos shot and at the same time try and teach my girlfriend a few tips on photography. I didn't want to waste this outfit by not having it shot because I really like the color palette consisting of mustard and navy blue, definitely a great mix. Although I'm no fashion guru nor I aim to be but when I usually pick out an outfit, I obviously focus on two colours first before getting more of a variety going.

So in this case my primary outfit colors were mustard and navy blue. After I established the two I have the choice to follow through choosing either of the same colors to wear for my pants or in this case I opt to wear a darker tone of the mustard and chose brown pants as my secondary choice.

Seeing as the pants I wore were brown, that was my chance to layer it up again by adding my Brixton Air-Force cap.

Apologies for the pants and socks looking abnormally scruffy but I just wanted to show how I just randomly picked any pair of socks to go with my pants and boots.

Another rainy day in the Philippines is another opportunity for grungy street photography. I left the house wanting to wear my favorite colors and this is what I manage to put together: simple but more importantly, identical color tones. I see many people wear all shades of various colors but the tones are completely opposite and a lot of the times it doesn't look right. I guess its not a big deal when it comes to everyday outfits but when I see the people get it right, the clothes look awesome.

After receiving positive feedback on my thrifted army jacket, I knew I had to refashion the brown leather elbow patched Tommy Hilfiger button down. Let me remind you that it only cost me 200pesos, plus another 100pesos for the laboring of the patches. So affordable and yet so effective - just make sure the tailor places the patch properly, unlike mine!

Shoes & more shoes

I was flicking back through my recent post ‘Shoe Fetish’ (haha love that title) and I felt compelled to look on the net for some more styles. One site that always gives me the in styles and brands is ASOS. They are a trendy online clothing boutique based in the United Kingdom. Simplicity is their game, and I feel they play it well, with no real edgy or avant garde articles available.

As I was running late for a shoot, my time was limited, so of course I reverted back to my old favourite, ASOS. The shoes on this post are only but a sample of what is available on their website. So one could only imagine what other styles I could find if time was not of the essence. Don’t forget my rule to try and sample before you buy, feel free to click on the photos for more information. We all have skeletons in our closets, let’s not surround them with ugly clothes and shoes.
